What are 2 way and 3 way Sequence Valves?
A sequence valve can be either a 2-way or 3-way valve. A 2-way sequence valve is a type of hydraulic valve that is used to control the sequence of operations in a hydraulic system with two branches. It is designed to allow the flow of hydraulic fluid from one branch to another in a specific order.
In a 2-way sequence valve, the inlet port is connected to the primary circuit, and the outlet port is connected to the secondary circuit. The valve is set to open at a specific pressure, which is determined by an adjustment screw or a spring. When the pressure in the primary circuit reaches the set point, the valve opens and allows the hydraulic fluid to flow into the secondary circuit. This opens the downstream valve, and the secondary circuit starts to operate.

Once the pressure in the primary circuit drops below the set point, the valve closes, preventing the backflow of hydraulic fluid from the secondary circuit to the primary circuit. This process ensures that the secondary circuit operates only after the primary circuit has reached a specific pressure level, thereby preventing damage to the system or the equipment.
